SafetyBarrierManager
Download the SafetyBarrierManager code as a free unregistered version. With the unregistered code you can edit diagram projects that contain up to 15 “conditions” and up to 2 different diagrams. Larger projects can be opened and viewed. Otherwise the unregistered version is fully functional. Run the setup file by using the link below. This will create a folder “SafetyBarrierDiagrams” in your personal folder, which contains a few examples of safety-barrier diagrams and some “templates” for starting new projects.
Note that SafetyBarrierManager requires Microsoft Excel® and Internet Explorer® (version 8 or higher) to be installed.
Please note that the software is under development. Bugs are to be expected. The helpfile is under development. You are welcome to inform us about any problems that you encounter.
When updating from an earlier version, make sure you choose the same type of installation, either “For all users” or “For a single user”. Always check that you use the updated version and uninstall the old version if it has not been replaced.
With version 3.0.0600, the example projects have been updated and extended – remember to tick “Example diagrams” during the installation if you want to include the updates (this overwrites the examples in the My Documents\SafetyBarrierDiagrams folder). Some of the examples are those shown in the Gallery.
If you upgrade from version 2, please check whether you are eligible to this version under your current license conditions.

For changes in this version of SafetyBarrierManager as compared to the previous versions, inspect the change history.
If your virus protection (such as Windows SmartScreen Defender) blocks the installation, please read our information about virus detection, including instructions to continue installation using Windows SmartScreen Defender. Alternatively you can try using a non-Microsoft browser (such as Chrome or Firefox). Using the above installation file download will give the best user experience, but alternatively it is possible to install the program using a zip file.

If you have too few administration permissions to install the links above, you can also download a zip-archive, and copy the programs and related files and folders to you computer (or USB drive) manually. You can download the zip file with the program here. In principle you can run the program from a USB drive, but the license protection uses the identification of the drive and the machine together, and that may cause issues when shifting the USB drive.
Sample diagram files
You can download a zip file with sample barrier files. This set contains some more files (projects and templates) than those enclosed as Example Diagrams in the installation package.
SafetyBarrierViewer (discontinued)
A Viewer has been provided to be able to look at the safety-barrier diagrams that have been produced using SafetyBarrierManager. The viewer has a simpler user interface, and it is not possible to edit conditions and barriers or to save changes made to the project file. Otherwise the viewer has the same functionality as the Manager, so one can extract Excel tables, etc. Run the setup file by using the link below. This will create a folder “SafetyBarrierDiagrams” in your personal folder, which contains a simple example of a safety barrier diagram.
As from SafetyBarrierManager version 3, it is possible to export safety-barrier diagrams to HTML with (almost) the same functionality as the Viewer, and no new updates of the Viewer will be issued, so the Viewer is only needed to distribute and share projects made with versions 1 and 2.
